Change can feel intimidating and overwhelming, but it can also be a chance to grow, learn, and build resilience. As college students, you’re in a unique time of transition—navigating new responsibilities, relationships, routines, and decisions about your future. It’s natural to feel a mix of excitement and uncertainty as you let go of familiar comforts and take on new challenges. Giving yourself the space to process these changes, reflect on your experiences, and prepare for what’s next is an important part of your journey. One of the most empowering steps you can take is to explore and understand your own story. I offer a supportive and nonjudgmental perspective to help you uncover your strengths, tackle challenges, and celebrate your growth. Together, we can work toward helping you feel confident as you take healthy risks, build meaningful connections, and embrace the opportunities ahead in college and beyond. I have experience working with individuals dealing with stress, anxiety, depression, and the impacts of past traumas, as well as navigating major life transitions. I’m especially interested in helping you identify what brings purpose and joy to your life, so you can create a future that feels authentic and fulfilling. Above all, I want to get to know you—your experiences, your goals, and how I can support you along the way. Wherever you’re at right now, you don’t have to face it alone. Let’s work together to help you feel more grounded, self-assured, and ready to take on whatever comes next.
I understand that seeking change or trying something different can be difficult. I enjoy working alongside my clients to help each individual achieve their therapy goals in a way that feels comfortable for them. By using an empathetic and client centered approach, I support and encourage my clients to focus on their strengths to overcome life’s challenges. I strive to create a safe and empowering space where clients can be vulnerable, explore new perspectives, and speak openly in an environment where they feel accepted rather than judged. I believe the relationship between client and therapist is essential in the helping process.
I am a firm believer that when undergoing life’s challenges, we owe it to ourselves to be our own best support person we can be. Sometimes that means asking for help. Whether it’s managing the stresses of everyday life, keeping up with ever changing and ongoing societal and systemic concerns, or managing serious mental health distress, I am excited and honored to work with you towards your therapy goals.
We are an inclusive Therapy Practice that utilizes not just mental health but also emotional wellness activities within our services. Visit www.chitherapywell.com to find out more information and book an appointment.
As therapists, we work to build a genuine relationship with each client, create a safe space for discovery, and aim to understand that individual. This allows clients to safely explore alongside the therapist, and begin to see themselves with greater clarity, depth, and honesty. Good, effective therapy will likely not happen overnight (though exciting and wonderful eureka moments certainly occur along the way), and trust, honesty, and humor are invaluable to a beneficial therapeutic relationship. We believe that laughter and tears are equally powerful but that therapeutic change is measured in neither. We believe the act and effort of genuinely and non-judgmentally understanding each client allows for lasting therapeutic change to take place. While each clinician at Dr. Blehart & Associates has a unique method and skillset, we believe it is the underlying interpersonal style and ability to connect and understand that rests at the heart of our work. Dr. Blehart & Associates offers the highest level of expertise, care, and access for adults and adolescents in Chicago. Services are available in English, Spanish, German, and Somali.

Ellie is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who believes healing begins within safe, trusting relationships. She works to create a warm and nonjudgmental space where individuals feel seen, heard, and understood. Her work is informed by psychodynamic and attachment theories, and an understanding of nervous system regulation. She is attentive to how early relationships and life experiences shape emotional patterns, self-perception, and how we relate to others. Ellie also helps clients recognize how their nervous system responds to stress, supporting them in becoming more grounded, connected, and in control. Her approach invites greater self-awareness, emotional flexibility, and lasting change. Ellie is passionate about working with individuals who have dealt with various forms of overwhelming stress and trauma, focusing in particular on work with children and adolescents. She incorporates a range of modalities including play, talk, and art therapy, recognizing the unique ways children express themselves and explore their worlds. She meets each child where they are at and allows play and the relationship to serve as powerful tools for healing, growth, and connection. Ellie also strives to support parents and caregivers in understanding their child more deeply and fostering strong and healthy family relationships. Whether working with a child, teen, or adult, Ellie brings warmth, curiosity, and deep respect for each person’s story.

Hi there, are you looking for someone to talk to? I have Friday evening openings. I'm good at helping my clients with loneliness, feeling disconnected, longing for love and pushing people away. Your symptoms will improve over time, but I don't focus on correcting your symptoms. I prefer to look at our shared human conditions, earning your trust over time so we can take an in-depth look at what hurts beneath the surface, and why you feel so stuck. I'm here to listen, and help you reconcile with yourself. My therapy approach is respectful and candid. You are welcome to take the lead, or I can initiate conversations until you feel more comfortable. Together we will learn more about what you need, and why you feel at odds with yourself or the world. We will pay attention to neglected parts of yourself, be it feelings or memories, and find kindness for them. I promise it can get better. I want to help. Let's talk.
Your experiences matter, and you don’t have to carry them in silence. I believe therapy should be as unique as the person seeking it. I will meet you exactly where you are, tailoring my approach to your needs, goals, and preferences. Whether that means drawing from evidence-based strategies, incorporating somatic or trauma-informed practices, or exploring new approaches together, my focus is always on creating a space where you feel validated and heard. My goal is to make therapy a place where your experiences are taken seriously and your voice matters. Women’s Health: I am deeply passionate about women’s health and the unique challenges that are often minimized or dismissed in many settings. Having seen how women’s health is often minimized, I am deeply committed to creating a space that is the opposite: informed, supportive, and advocating. My specialties include perinatal and postpartum care, women’s health concerns (including endometriosis, PCOS, menstrual cycles, birth control, abortion and pregnancy decision making, autoimmune conditions, and fertility), body image and disordered eating, chronic illness and pain, and young-adult life transitions. I also work with healthcare providers, like nurses and residents, who may be experiencing burnout. I am also a certified Empowered Relief Instructor, a pain management program developed at Stanford University that provides evidence-based tools to help you reduce pain and improve quality of life. Whether you experience chronic pain, menstrual related pain, chronic illness, or other forms of pain, we can use these tools to help you feel like yourself again. Athletes: As an athlete, your mind and body are deeply connected, and navigating that balance can be both challenging and rewarding. Whether you experience stressors like performance pressure, injury, identity shifts, or body-image concerns, I will work with you to explore the mind-body connection and process the pressures that accompany these competitive environments. Together we can build resilience and confidence while also solidifying who you are both within and beyond your sport. Approach: My therapeutic style is eclectic and flexible, drawing from ACT, DBT, person-centered, trauma-informed care, somatic therapy, and solution-focused approaches. I meet clients where they are, and am dedicated to researching and implementing interventions that are both evidence based and tailored to you and your experiences.

Hello and welcome! I am a therapist at Chicago Counseling Collective. I take a collaborative approach to therapy and want to provide a space that meets your unique needs and goals. Together we can explore relationships, emotions, and identity; process events from the past; and build skills and tools for making meaningful changes in the present. I am intentional about attending to the roles that systems of oppression, power, and privilege play both in and out of the therapy room. I use a relational-cultural and interpersonal approach in therapy meaning that one of my top priorities is getting to know you as a whole person. This includes the many layers of your identity and experiences; and your joys, sorrows, and sense of humor! I love working with young adults, undergraduate and graduate students, international students, non-traditional students, and early career professionals. I am passionate about working with survivors of sexual trauma. Finding a therapist who is a good fit is important. If you think we could make a good team, let's chat!
When looking for a therapist, it can often be a challenge to figure out who will be a good fit based on a bio and a picture. Sometimes there is something very specific that we know we need from therapy, sometimes we are just going in with a vague sense, and it can often feel vulnerable. There is a quote that I often return to in my work: “healing happens at the speed of trust”. When we start our work together, we will be figuring out how to build that trust and communication so that you can do the work and exploration that you need to do to get the most out of therapy. I specialize in supporting individuals navigating addiction and substance use. I also enjoy working with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, isolation, and effects of trauma. My work is grounded in a harm reduction philosophy that aims to meet people exactly where they are and recognizes that we are all experts in our own lives. I won’t have all of the answers, but hope to work alongside you. I approach therapy with deep curiosity and a relational lens, believing that meaningful change grows from genuine connection and collaboration. I like getting to know people and find one of the most profound things to come from therapy is a feeling of being understood.
