Many people come to therapy when they find themselves stuck repeating old patterns in relationships, work/school, or how they treat themselves. I'm a clinical psychologist with over 17 years of experience in helping people understand themselves more deeply so that change becomes possible. I approach people with a warm, collaborative, and exploratory style. If you're wanting to make sense of what's holding you back and move toward a more authentic, connected life, I can help. I welcome people of all identities and practice gender-affirming care. I use a psychodynamic approach that focuses on thoughts, feelings, and reactions that come up in your life and in our sessions. These moments often connect to deeper issues that we can then explore. I add cognitive-behavioral tools when helpful. Reaching out for therapy can feel vulnerable, and it's important to find a therapist you feel comfortable with. In our first sessions I offer an open space in which you can speak freely and we can get to know each other. If you're unsure whether we're a good fit, I'm happy to talk over phone or email about what you're looking for. I specialize in: • Anxiety and mood disorders • Relationship and interpersonal difficulties • Identity development and LGBTQ+ concerns • Life transitions • Young adults/adults seeking ongoing psychotherapy
My primary clinical experience has been working with adult women navigating depression, anxiety, trauma-related disorders, life transitions, relationship challenges, and other complex mental health concerns. Working with women has been especially meaningful to me because I've witnessed the strength and resilience they bring to the healing process, even during incredibly difficult seasons of life. I'm passionate about creating a therapeutic space where women feel safe, heard, and empowered to explore their experiences without judgment. While my primary experience has been with women, I welcome the opportunity to work with adults from diverse backgrounds and remain committed to providing compassionate, individualized care that honors each person's unique experiences and goals. What inspires me most about mental healthcare is witnessing the incredible capacity people have to change, grow, adapt, and persevere even when they can't yet see that potential in themselves. I have always been drawn to the resilience of the human spirit and the idea that healing is not about becoming someone different, but about reconnecting with the strengths, values, and inner resources that have been there all along. I'm passionate about helping people make sense of their experiences, develop greater self-awareness, and recognize that meaningful change is possible. While the journey is rarely linear, I believe that every challenge presents an opportunity for growth, and it's a privilege to walk alongside clients as they discover new perspectives, build resilience, and create lives that feel more authentic and fulfilling. One of the greatest privileges of this work is witnessing moments when someone begins to believe in themselves again. Seeing patients realize they are capable of navigating life's challenges with greater confidence, self-compassion, and hope is what continues to inspire me and reinforces why I chose this profession. My approach is rooted in creating a safe, collaborative therapeutic relationship where patients feel empowered to explore their experiences at their own pace. I believe healing begins when individuals feel genuinely seen and supported, and I strive to help patients recognize their inherent strengths and resilience while developing practical tools to manage symptoms and move toward their goals. I have experience utilizing evidence-based interventions, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and trauma-informed practices, tailoring treatment to each individual's unique needs and strengths. I don't believe my role is to "fix" you. Rather, I see therapy as a collaborative process where we work together to better understand your experiences, identify patterns that may no longer serve you, and build on the strengths you already possess. Even in life's most difficult seasons, I believe every person has an incredible capacity for resilience, growth, and healing. My hope is that, over time, you leave therapy not only with practical tools to navigate life's challenges, but with a deeper sense of confidence in yourself and trust in your own ability to move forward. It is truly a privilege to walk alongside people on that journey.

I have extensive experience with young adults, including those who are in undergraduate, graduate, and early career stages. I understand the unique challenges that this life stage presents and support clients as they navigate their identity, education, careers, and relationships. I'm available to support students who may feel overwhelmed, stressed, or uncertain about the path ahead. Whether you're dealing with anxiety, adjusting to college life, struggling with self-doubt, or navigating relationships, I offer a safe, non-judgmental space to explore your thoughts and feelings. The students I work best with are those who feel like they’re juggling a lot—academic pressure, personal expectations, and social challenges—but who also want to grow, find balance, and build confidence. Many of my clients are learning to manage stress, cope with feelings of isolation, or figure out how to communicate better in their relationships. My approach is collaborative, and I focus on helping you find practical tools that fit into your life. Therapy doesn’t have to be intimidating; together, we’ll work at your pace to help you feel more grounded and in control. I’m here to listen, offer guidance, and support you as you navigate this chapter of your life.
I can help if you feel stuck, insecure or feeling like you are not “good enough”. I can help you build real confidence and emotional strength. You might find yourself constantly overthinking, comparing yourself to others, or feeling pulled in different directions. One part of you trying to move forward while another holds you back. As a fully bilingual (Spanish/English) Latino therapist, I understand how pressure, expectations, and life transitions can impact your confidence and sense of self. I specialize in trauma (EMDR), anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationships, and self-esteem. I integrate Internal Family Systems (IFS) to help you understand and work through internal conflicts, and EMDR to reprocess difficult or traumatic experiences. I also use solution-focused and cognitive-behavioral approaches to support practical, real-life change. My approach is supportive, collaborative, and tailored to your pace, while still helping you move toward meaningful change. If you feel ready to start working through this, feel free to reach out to schedule a consultation or an intake session with me.
I am a licensed clinical psychologist with over ten years of experience. My areas of specialty include: depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, conflicts around cultural identity, life transitions, and academic and career struggles. I am particularly interested in helping clients who face conflicts around their race, culture, and identity. I work pragmatically and collaboratively with clients to achieve their goals. I earned my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Northwestern University in Chicago, IL where I received the Walter Burke Award in Clinical Excellence and a Distinction of Honors on my Ph.D. Comprehensive Qualifying Paper. At Northwestern, I trained in psychodynamic and dialectical behavioral therapy and published several research papers on juvenile detainees and violence in persons with severe mental illness in peer-reviewed journals. I completed my internship at the Jacobi Medical Center in the Bronx, NY where I treated adolescents, families, and adults in outpatient clinics, a Psychiatric Emergency Room, and on an adult inpatient unit. Afterward, I worked as an individual and group psychotherapist and clinical supervisor at the counseling center at Fordham University in the Bronx, NY. At Fordham, I was also the outreach coordinator in which I regularly interacted with marginalized students on campus. I am a Harvard-trained psychiatrist providing psychotherapy and medication management for college students and young adults. I help individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, ADHD, OCD, perfectionism, test anxiety, social anxiety, relationship challenges, and major life transitions. I have particular experience working with LGBTQ+ students and young adults, as well as those navigating identity development, college adjustment, academic stress, and uncertainty about the future. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed by coursework, struggling socially, questioning your direction, or finding it difficult to meet the expectations you've set for yourself, treatment can provide a space to better understand what's getting in the way and develop a healthier path forward. My approach is collaborative, thoughtful, and individualized. I integrate psychodynamic psychotherapy with evidence-based medication management when appropriate, taking the time to understand your unique experiences, goals, and values rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all approach. My goal is to help you not only reduce symptoms, but also develop greater self-understanding, confidence, and resilience.
