Hi, I'm Lauren! I am a non-binary, queer AuDHD therapist practicing psychodynamic clinical social work in Massachusetts and Oregon. I also identify as white and mid-fat. My pronouns are she/they. In my practice, I specialize in working with adults who identify as, or are exploring whether they may be, LGBTQIA2S+ and/or neurodivergent, especially autistic and/or ADHD. In addition, I help clients work through issues related to depression, anxiety, and relational difficulties. Through an affirming and integrative approach, I provide a warm and supportive therapeutic environment for clients to explore their inner selves and make positive changes in their lives. My work with clients is collaborative, as together we delve into the reasons behind persistent challenges and unearth new aspects of their identities and experiences, ultimately making space for growth, healing, and flourishing. For neurodivergent clients, our sessions often involve working on strategies to improve executive functioning, which includes skills like task initiation, time management, organization, attention, and planning. My approach is aligned with the Health at Every Size (HAES) framework.

They have extensive experience working with young adults and those young at heart (ages 18-118). Elle is well versed in navigating themes surrounding emerging adulthood and the unique experiences felt by the LGBTQIA2S+ community; all while helping folx tackle the real-life experiences of stress, anxiety and depression. Working from a trauma informed model, Elle has carefully crafted an approach that holds space for the human experience, beyond diagnosis and labels.

Are you feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or uncertain about the future? College can be exciting, but it can also bring a lot of stress, pressure, and big life decisions. You might be struggling with anxiety, feeling lost in your identity, or having a hard time managing relationships and academic stress. Maybe you’re constantly overthinking, feeling like you’re not doing enough, or unsure of what direction to take next. I provide a supportive, down-to-earth space where you can work through these challenges without judgment. Together, we’ll explore what’s weighing you down, help you build confidence, and find ways to manage stress in a way that works for you. My approach is warm, collaborative, and focused on helping you feel more in control of your life. If you're ready to start feeling like yourself again, let’s connect.
Some clients arrive feeling the weight of their anxiety. Others are in the middle of a transition—navigating changes in relationships, family dynamics, or adjusting to a new diagnosis or ongoing health condition. These transition moments can bring a level of uncertainty that’s hard to tolerate and often lead to second-guessing, especially when your body or health begins to feel unpredictable or outside of your control. I also work with individuals who experience intrusive thoughts or feel caught in patterns meant to prevent something bad from happening. These thoughts can feel unsettling or even at odds with who you are—making them confusing, distressing, and difficult to talk about. For some, these experiences are connected to obsessive-compulsive patterns (often referred to as OCD), even if that’s not a term you’ve used for yourself before. There are effective, evidence-based ways to work with OCD patterns, and we can talk through what that might look like for you. At the heart of my work is the belief that therapy is a collaborative process. You should want to talk to your therapist, and from the very beginning, I focus on creating a space where you can talk openly about what’s actually on your mind. The relationship between therapist and client matters deeply. Meaningful change tends to happen when people feel understood, respected, and able to show up honestly— even when what they’re bringing to session feels messy, confusing, or hard to put into words. Therapy isn’t one-size-fits-all, and no single approach works for every person or every situation. I draw from a range of approaches and tailor the work to each client’s needs, goals, and experiences. Depending on what feels most helpful, this might include building a clearer understanding of the patterns you’re caught in, exploring where those patterns come from, or finding new ways to respond to them. Across all of this, my focus is on helping you make sense of what you’re experiencing and shift the patterns that are keeping you stuck so they begin to have less of a hold on you over time.
As a licensed therapist with ten years of experience, I believe in creating a safe, non-judgmental space where clients can explore their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. My approach combines motivational interviewing and person centered techniques to meet your unique needs and goals. I work with individuals, couples, and families to help navigate challenges including family conflict, trauma, anxiety, depression, and life transitions. I also enjoy working with individuals who identify as neurodivergent, and also provide substance abuse evaluations. With expertise in family conflict, addiction, depression, and anxiety, I help clients identify and address key areas for improvement, enhancing overall functioning and well-being. Starting individual or couple’s therapy is a big step in your healing journey! I am happy to offer a 15 minute consultation to make sure that we are the best fit.
Are you stuck? Overwhelmed? Unsure of who you are and what you want? My style is compassionate, intuitive and direct. I offer an empowered approach to healing. I empower you to become a conscious co-creator of your life. I use my own life experiences to assist you in shedding shame and getting unstuck. I use tools, education and workshops to empower and enlighten you. I view symptoms as a sign one is out of alignment with their truth, rather than as a symptom to be treated. When we were not mirrored properly as children, we get stuck settling for less than we deserve in our life, work + relationships as adults. Emotional neglect erodes self-trust and lowers self-worth. I help you clear the lens you see yourself through.
