Choosing therapy is a bold step towards positive change. My goal as a therapist is to support you as you move towards personal and relational healing while providing unconditional positive regard, structure for exploration, and nervous system support for staying present with the difficult emotions and re-grounding afterwards. I believe that you make sense and that you are an expert on your own experience. My practice is person-centered and celebrates queer and trans lives, poly and kink relationships, neurodivergent experience, and health at all sizes. I strive to practice cultural humility about experiences, histories, and cultural oppressions that fall outside my own. I use tools from trauma-informed modalities of IFS, EMDR, and Somatic Experiencing. I am open to working with adults, adolescents, and children of families that are willing to commit to family sessions. I enjoy working with people who experience multiple marginalizations and cultural oppressions, artists, writers and activists. Reach out with your questions, current struggles, ideals, and goals to explore if we are the right fit.

I am currently scheduling patients for both in-person (PA/NJ) and telehealth (PA/NJ/MA) appointments. I welcome patients who are looking for medication management, therapy, a second opinion, or any combination of the above. My interests include diagnostic clarification of mood/anxiety/attention disorders, evaluation of young adults who may be seeking help for the first time, and treatment of substance use disorders that often present with other common diagnoses. I offer comprehensive treatment, taking into consideration not only whether a patient has a medical illness, but also discussing lifestyle, substance use, relationships and other factors that could be affecting an individual's mental health. When indicated, I may recommend the use of psychiatric medications in conjunction with therapy.
I am a licensed clinical psychologist with Rittenhouse Psychiatric Associates. I use evidence-based approaches to help people experiencing body image and self-esteem concerns, anxiety, depression, and disordered eating among other behavioral and psychological challenges. I seek to understand each person’s unique experience. We all have a history that has shaped who we are, the messages we tell ourselves, and the behaviors we use to cope with the unavoidable pain that life brings us. I collaborate with each person to understand their experience, increase their insight, and facilitate progress toward their goals. I am thorough and kind-hearted, and I also appreciate moments of levity and laughter to balance the challenging aspects of therapy. I use Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) along with other evidence-based approaches to guide our work. This often involves discussing inner self-critical messages and taking a closer look at challenging moments and reoccurring patterns. We will gain an understanding of the patterns that are moving you closer to and further from what you want out of life and develop strategies to help you move closer to the life you want to live. We will be on this journey together, working as a team, and adjusting the work to the right direction and pace for you.
I believe therapy is meant to be a collaborative process between client and therapist. As such, clients create goals for themselves while therapist are present to assist them in reaching their goals. I strive to create an environment which is affirming and comfortable yet also expect I will challenge clients in their assumptions regarding thoughts, behaviors, and interpersonal interactions. I use a variety of therapeutic modalities in my practice, tailoring therapy to the individual client(s) I am serving. I regularly use humor and self disclosure, as a way to increase therapeutic relationship, when appropriate. I have worked in social services and mental health for over 15 years. I began my career as a Resident Advisor and by volunteering on hotlines while in college. I then transitioned to working as a milieu therapist with children. Following completion of my Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy, I worked with families struggling with transitions, relationship conflict, and child behavioral/mental health concerns as a mobile family therapist. While working as a mobile therapist, I received additionally training in Eco-Systemic Family Therapy through the Philadelphia Child and Family Training Therapy program. I am one of a few male Certified Sex Therapist, certified through the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors, and Therapists, with offices in Philadelphia and Media. I work with couples and individuals. I specialize in working with LGBTQ inidividuals. My areas of speciality include, people seeking to understand their sexual orientation and/or gender identity. I work with gay and lesbian couples who are navigating both traditional couple dynamics as well as issues specific to being a part of a same-sex couple. I have worked with clients in traditional and non-traditional relationship dynamics, including open and polyamorous relationships. Additionally, I often work with people attempting to work through sexual dysfunctions or concerns. I enjoy working with male identified clients as I often find they are not generally given the latitude to be emotionally expressive and doing so with another male can be very affirming. My rate is $175 for individual sessions and $200.00 for couples. Sessions are typically 50 minutes in duration.
Feeling disconnected, overwhelmed, or curious? Whether working through a new adjustment or struggling with communication, I offer a safe, inclusive space where you can feel heard, supported, and empowered. I am especially drawn to working with individuals, couples, and families navigating through life transitions, those in the LGBTQIA+ community, and those searching for a unique approach to this journey at their own pace. As a queer woman and Philadelphia local I bring lived experience and understanding, emphasizing a nonjudgmental stance as we navigate through this therapeutic journey I emphasize a systems-based approach, highlighting the importance of patterns and interconnections of relationships. I also work through an intersectional framework, understanding the unique interactions of identities that shape individual experience. As you bring your unique self to this experience, we will begin to unravel the complexities and contexts that hold importance, and with it I hope to empower you in each step going forward. I am currently accepting new clients, please reach out with any questions, or for a free 20 minute consultation!
I have a decade-plus history of helping individuals experiencing issues ranging from general anxiety to Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. These patients can vary from people who have experienced acute traumatic events, suffered from health-related problems, dealt with adverse childhoods, or are struggling with the problems of everyday life. My training allows me to tailor my approach to the individual whether I am working with a young person navigating life transitions or an adult who has experienced a traumatic event. I am as comfortable reviewing CBT coping skills as I am guiding individuals on ways to regain trust and meaning.

I work with people who are interested in improving their relationships with one another.

Therapy is a place where partners can learn how to disrupt old patterns and start experiencing the pleasure of interacting in new ways. The work involves talking, examining the obstacles to talking, and using what happens in sessions as a way to understand what goes on outside of therapy. It also involves bringing creativity to the problems at hand and trying things differently.

I like to create a space with ample opportunity for collaboration as we address the issues that present. Most of all, I strive to provide a safe environment where each individual can explore anything about themselves in their relationships.

If you're interested in enhancing the communication and understanding in your relationship, therapy may be right for you. I offer 50-minute and 75-minute sessions in-person and online. Therapy is a significant investment; if you're curious whether therapy could help, I encourage you to reach out to schedule a free phone or video consultation.
If you're not feeling like college is exactly what you pictured, - you're overwhelmed by meeting a ton of new people, - finding it harder to be away from home than you expected, - or feeling like you're expected to just know how to "adult", That makes sense! And you're not the only one. It's really difficult to balance all of the competing priorities in college. There's the pressure to do well academically, the constant socializing or feeling isolated away from friends, the emotional shit creeping up on us at 4am... It's a lot. Many of our clients think, "On top of everything else, how am I supposed to know who I am or what I'm doing with my life?" Especially if you're queer or trans, this time can be even more challenging when you don't feel like you have a dedicated space to process what comes up. The truth is, you're not supposed to have all the answers. As you go through figuring it out (and finding more questions) - one step at a time - it might help to have some extra support. Kindred Therapy LLC is an inclusive, affirming psychotherapy practice seeing clients over telehealth in PA and NJ. We support you in accepting all of your parts, healing from trauma, and just overall navigating this weird life. We particularly prioritize space for queer, gender expansive, neurodivergent, and QTBIPOC individuals.

We celebrate and treat with the utmost respect all diverse backgrounds including sexual orientation, race and ethnicity, and gender identity to name a few.
My name is Eve Buck (she/her/hers), and I am a licensed Mental Health Counselor. I work with individuals and couples living in New York and Pennsylvania at my virtual practice. I completed my master’s degree in mental health counseling from Teachers College, Columbia University. My previous training includes working with undergraduate and graduate students at the Fordham University counseling center, as well as community practices where I have worked with culturally diverse clients from all walks of life. I particularly enjoy working with young adults and senior adults and have specialized training in therapy for people who identify as Latinx. It is through the experiences and lessons I have learned along my work and personal journeys that I hope to support your path toward overcoming your personal struggles and finding greater fulfillment. I pride myself on utilizing a multicultural approach to therapy while bringing in teachings and principles of multiple disciplines, drawing mainly from psychodynamic therapy among other evidence-based practices. It is this multidisciplinary approach that I believe best serves clients, allowing space for present-minded problem solving as well as exploration into a client’s past, relationships, and emotional experience. Our work together can be tailored based on your life story and experiences and what you hope to gain from therapy. Everyone’s therapy journey is different. Whether it’s working through trauma or beginning a path towards better self-understanding, I strive to provide an open, non-judgmental, and productive space where people can find relief from distressing symptoms as well as develop a stronger sense of self through insight and reflection. People often seek therapy to resolve past experiences and life complexities and the decision to enter therapy may carry feelings of ambivalence and uncertainty. I believe that therapy is most effective when persons are offered an environment that is inviting, collaborative, affirming, and safe. Subsequently, my goal is to provide a challenging, but non-judgmental and encouraging atmosphere for persons to explore concerns and difficulties as a means of achieving desired change. I have been trained in psychodynamic and gestalt therapy and trauma and attachment theory and I integrate these theoretical constructs to understand the uniqueness of each person. Further, I include harm reduction, cultural, strengths perspective, and social justice lenses to recognize each person's lived experience. In end, I have an extensive history working with persons of queer and trans/GNC experience and specific interest in working with complex trauma, substance misuse and addiction, attachment, and grief/loss. I offer an informed perspective when working with persons in polyamorous relationships and/or the kink community.
People often want to improve some aspect of their emotional and mental health. In our work together, we will explore the areas of your life that are challenging or distressing, access and process difficult emotions, and make meaning of patterns in your unique narrative. I believe in creating a safe and empathic space for a collaborative therapeutic relationship. Each session provides an opportunity for strength, self-awareness, and self-compassion, and I strive to provide a supportive and holding environment for such growth to be possible. While my practice is specialized to provide non-pathologizing and affirming therapy for queer and trans individuals, I welcome clients of all gender identities and orientations. I look forward to sharing in your journey and self exploration.
I provide a therapeutic space that supports rapport-building and builds upon clients’ strengths. One of my approaches is to empower my clients to implement skills and techniques provided in sessions that help symptoms of anxiety, depression and relationship conflicts.
