Therapists for college students near Temple University
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) providing therapy in a supportive and queer-friendly environment. I specialize in work with clients with prenatal and postpartum depression, grief, life changes, mood disorders, and substance use. I have professional experience, prior to private practice, working with young adults on an inpatient psychiatric unit and ante/postpartum parents in a hospital setting. My approach is collaborative and compassionate, drawing on mindfulness, humor, the mind-body connection, and elements of CBT and DBT, to help clients build insight and tools for their every day lives. The therapist-client relationship is an important aspect of the therapeutic dynamic in my work and I want to encourage an environment where a patient is able to speak openly and freely.
Hi. If you're looking to create a more joyful and accepting life, If you're looking for tools and practices to help you manage the curve balls that life has thrown your way, let's connect, and together, create a space where you can grow and thrive. Currently working with Pennsylvania and California clients. Please check out redmountainwellness.com for more information about me. And, I look forward to learning about you. Warm regards, Deborah
I support clients with anxiety, trauma reprocessing, family and relationship dynamics, and attachment/ inner child/ parts work. I enjoy helping clients "free themselves" from stuck parts or narratives, build self-confidence, heal childhood or relational wounds, and feel empowered in your own strengths instead of a "problem to fix." My approach draws on a variety of modalities including IFS, narrative therapy, strengths-based, and somatic/ body work. My style is relational, warm, and easy going. I believe healing happens within the context of authentic and supportive relationship. I aim to make our time together filled with curiosity and compassion. I welcome (and highly value!) the incorporation of any cultural or spiritual identity you deem important. I have both personal and professional experience with a variety of cultural backgrounds, and I am bilingual English/ Spanish. Please reach out to schedule a free consultation through my Psychology Today, linked at the end of this web page!
Hi! I help clients cultivate awareness, insight, and self-compassion so that they can know themselves in a deeper way and live more authentically. I'm level 1 trained in Internal Family Systems therapy (IFS), which means I can help you get to know and heal the parts of you who feel stressed, anxious, burnt out, or depressed. We do this in a gentle, trauma-informed way. My practice is also informed by studies in psychodynamic theory, self-compassion, mindfulness, creative arts, and Buddhist psychology. No matter what approach you feel most comfortable exploring, I believe that safety, consent, and the therapeutic relationship are the foundation for healing.

At Cognitive Pursuits, I provide therapy for athletes and high-achieving professionals and academics who want to strengthen their mental health and enhance performance. With over a decade of clinical experience, including leadership roles at Thomas Jefferson University, I specialize in helping clients manage anxiety, depression, substance use, self-doubt, and burnout. I integrate cognitive-behavioral therapy, positive psychotherapy, and existential psychotherapy—among other evidence-based techniques—to create a supportive, practical, and collaborative space where clients can make meaningful progress toward their goals. I offer both traditional therapy and Performance Anxiety Therapy Intensives — focused, short-term programs designed to help clients gain clarity, build confidence, and develop effective strategies to perform at their best while maintaining balance and wellbeing. Services are available virtually to residents of Pennsylvania and New Jersey. My name is Meghan Morley - I’m a licensed therapist, former NCAA athlete, and personal trainer. My background in both mental health and performance psychology allows me to understand the unique pressures faced by driven individuals—whether in competition, academics, or demanding careers. Before founding Cognitive Pursuits, I served as Clinical Operations Manager at Thomas Jefferson University’s Center on Community Substance Abuse Programs and currently am an adjunct professor at St. Joseph's University counseling graduate program. My work is grounded in the belief that high performance and wellbeing don’t have to compete. I help clients quiet mental noise, build resilience, and reconnect with a sense of confidence and purpose that extends far beyond achievement alone.

I am a human being learning, like you, how to be here. In a world that can feel overwhelming, I offer space to slow down, understand what you are carrying, and find ways to cope that feel aligned, rooted in care, intention, and honesty. My approach to therapy is collaborative and grounded in curiosity. I support clients in exploring how their experiences shape how they feel, relate, and move through the world.
Are you feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, stress, depression, or a life transition that has left you feeling stuck, uncertain, or unlike yourself? Maybe you’re trying to manage the pressures of school, work, relationships, family responsibilities, or a major change in life and finding it hard to cope the way you used to. If so, you’re not alone—and you don’t have to figure it out on your own. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and National Board-Certified Counselor who works with individuals ages 14+. I have extensive experience helping clients navigate anxiety, depression, life transitions, adjustment issues, and the everyday stressors that can begin to feel overwhelming. I also have more than 13 years of experience counseling college students, giving me a deep understanding of the challenges faced by young adults balancing academic, personal, career, and relationship concerns. My approach is warm, supportive, and collaborative. I believe therapy works best when you feel comfortable being yourself and know that you are being truly heard without judgment. I use an integrative approach tailored to each person’s needs, helping clients better understand patterns in their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors while also building practical tools for coping, healing, and change. Therapy can be a place where you feel grounded, connected to yourself, and better able to manage the challenges in front of you. I'm excited you're here! Therapeutic relationships can be an incredibly powerful resource for accessing your truth, increasing self-love, and healing through connection. My aim as a therapist is to foster a safe, nonjudgmental space that supports clients in divesting from narratives of self-pathology, rewriting their stories in empowering ways, and in feeling more grounded and more joyful in their daily lives. My practice is rooted in a social justice frame and a belief that symptoms are most often related to the trauma of lived experiences of oppression and discrimination, not due to internal failing. I work with clients who need help managing anxiety, exploring identity, managing life transitions, managing symptoms of trauma, and undoing internalized white supremacy. I offer a politicized lens and believe in the connection between relational healing and collective liberation. I intend for therapy to be an affirming, healing and celebratory space. For those pursuing gender affirming surgeries or HRT, I'm happy to provide letters for your insurance/surgeon. I identify as White, queer, trans, nonbinary, fat, and neurodiverse (ADHD). As of August 2025, I have availability for virtual clients. Please feel free to reach out - I’d love to chat about potentially working together!
We all experience times of change, transition, and stress that can affect mood and anxiety. I offer an active, collaborative working relationship grounded in respect, transparency, and a deep desire to help clients heal and grow. Clients have remarked that I am particularly skilled in helping them navigate and grow through life transitions and take responsibility for and develop ways of coping and responding to life stresses that honor their multiple and intersecting identities and values, while also encouraging them to stretch, consider, and apply new perspectives and skills. I have over 25 years of experience as a therapist in a university counseling center and have extensive experience with undergraduate and graduate students. I am committed to helping people create and sustain a satisfying and purposeful life. With the intention of helping them move toward a greater sense of overall well-being, I enjoy working with clients around life transitions, career exploration, identity exploration, managing societally induced stress particularly related to marginalized identities, and those experiencing concerns related to career and work. I have extensive training and experience with mindfulness and integrate that into my therapeutic work. Beyond therapy, I provide Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction courses and mindfulness-based classes for groups. Please contact me to schedule a free, 15-minute phone conversation so we can talk more about what he's looking for, I can explain more about my practice, and we can see if it mutually feels like a good fit to take the next step and schedule an initial meeting.
For my entire career, I have worked mostly with teens and young adults as well as families. I am practical, straightforward and yet supportive and compassionate. I offer straight up feedback & suggestions as well as support. I often treat anxiety, depression, mood disorders, transitions, trauma, relationship & family issues, and academic challenges. Additionally I run weekly therapy groups for teens and young adults. I also have two associates who work in my practice who are also quite skilled and experienced with young adults and teens.
When I retired from professional ballet, I attended Princeton University for my undergraduate studies. I started going to therapy and found it helped me participate more fully in my life and find more joy in my experience of college. My interest in mental health led me to study social work at the University of Pennsylvania, followed by sport psychology in Scotland, as a Fulbright scholar. I enjoy working with a variety of people, including athletes/artists/performers navigating transitions and retirement.
